Deep in the wilderness of Gakona, Alaska lies a research facility that was owned and operated by the U.S. government from 1993 to 2015. High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program, or HAARP, was established to study radio waves and other seemingly innocuous fields. But some believe the program ran deeper – and had the power to control the weather, and maybe even human minds.
